Montgomery County announces Christy Wentzell selected as Community Corrections Program Manager

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office is pleased to announce that Christy Wentzell has been selected as the new Community Corrections Program Manager.

She has most recently been serving as an Executive Lieutenant for the Henry County Police Department, McDonough, Georgia.

Christy Wentzell - Community Corrections Program Manager for Montgomery County

Wentzell has an extensive law enforcement background, including narcotics, crisis negotiation, patrol and criminal investigations.

She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville, GA, and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from Columbus State College and University, Columbus, GA.

Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers states, “I am pleased to have Christy join county government and look forward to working with her. Her diverse knowledge and experience in law enforcement will be a great asset to our Community Corrections Program.”

Wentzell states, “I am excited to join the Montgomery County Management Team and greatly appreciate the opportunity to serve the community in this capacity.”

Wentzell assumed her new role on January 27th.
