APSU Lady Govs drop final two games at Mardi Gras Invitational

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUMobile, AL – Austin Peay State University’s softball team got out to an early lead over national-ranked Alabama-Birmingham, Saturday in the second day of the University of South Alabama Mardi Gras Invitational, but couldn’t hold the Blazers at bay down the stretch losing 4-1.

Clarksville City Council - Ward 10Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville City Council met on a very cold Thursday evening regular session on February 6th. Once again the agenda was rather light.

Ordinance 44 (Parking Meters): The council approved on first reading, the purchase of new parking meters that can use credit cards and a sensor system that detects when a car has arrived or departed for payment/tracking purposes. Behind 13 three-point field goals, the Ohio Valley Conference-leading Bruins overcame the Govs, 93-68.

102.5 FM Will Continue To Broadcast Nashville Sounds Baseball Games

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club is excited to announce an extension of its partnership with 102.5 “The Game” (WPRT-FM) as the team’s flagship station for game broadcasts during the 2014 season.

The Game, which has served as the team’s flagship station since 2012, will air all of the Sounds’ 144 games over the airwaves on 102.5 FM or 94.9 FM “Game 2” in 2014.

Clarksville Police update on Pedestrian Struck on Fort Campbell Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On February 7th, 2014 a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard (41A), near Ringgold Road, while attempting to cross the road.

A 1995 Chrysler Cirrus driven by Keith Germany (DOB: September 8th, 1964) of Clarksville, TN was traveling southbound in the right travel lane of Fort Campbell Boulevard and struck pedestrian Thomas Burchett (DOB: July 19th, 1964) of Clarksville, TN who was in the roadway near 1985 Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Clarksville Police report Three Vehicle accident on 41A Bypass near Glendale Drive

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, February 7th, 2014 at 1:56pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a vehicle crash, involving three vehicles, on the 41A Bypass (Ashland City Road) near Glendale Drive.

The Bypass was shut down between Seven Mile Ferry Road and Glendale Drive. One driver was transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center and the other two other drivers, along with one passenger, were transported by Montgomery County EMS to Gateway Medical Center.

Fort Campbell Welcomes Home the 101st Airborne Division’s Command Group

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – On Friday, Fort Campbell welcomed home the last of the 101st Headquarters and Headquarters Brigade consisting of 24 members of the command group of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) including Commanding General, Maj. Gen. James C. McConville.

They were completing a 9 month long mission in RC-East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where they were training the Afghan National Army to take over ensuring the security of their own country.
