Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars were hoping to earn just their third win of the season at their last home game on Procter court Friday night. However, offensive struggles dashed all hopes early and the Lady Cougars lost to the Merrol Hyde Magnet Lady Hawks, 36-21.
The Lady Cougars shot just 1-of-14 from the field in the first half, scoring only 2 points. After three periods they had been outscored by the Lady Hawks 30-7.
Coley led all scorers, scoring 22 of the Lady Hawks 30 points in three periods.
The Lady Cougars found their offense in the fourth period. They outscored the Lady Hawks 14-6, narrowing the gap slightly but not enough to overcome their early struggles.
Five different Lady Cougars scored in the last period of the game. They shot 6-of-17 from the field in the last period. Taylor Treadway and Charlsie Powers led the team with 5 points.
