Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Academy, along with head football coach Todd Hood, announce the signing of Jacob Rugen to a football scholarship to Millsaps College in Jackson Mississippi.
Rugen scored 37 touchdowns and 3692 total yards in his two year football career at the Academy.
Clarksville, TN – Recently, an individual has been ripping parking meters out of the sidewalks in downtown Clarksville.
The street that has been hit the most is First Street, though there are still cash parking meters on Legion Street and Third Street. The subject will rip the meters out of the ground and take them to a different location where he breaks them open and removes the change.
Montgomery County, TN – The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the Clarksville Montgomery County Area. A Tornado watch 11 is in effect until 9:00pm CT.

Fort Campbell, KY – Staff Sgt. Kristopher J. Forchione, Sgt. Ramon A. Fernandez and Sgt. Justin M. Watson, all cannon crew members with 4th Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), received Army Commendation Medals with Valor device during an award ceremony February 13th, 2014.
Ramon and Watson were conducting maintenance on an M119 105mm howitzer when the combat outpost they were on came under indirect fire. Instead of running to cover, which is general protocol, the soldiers reassembled the howitzer in a matter of minutes to conduct a counter-fire mission.
Clarksville, TN – The second annual Chocolate Affair was held February 8th, 2014 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park. Chocolate lovers indulged on vendor samples of chocolate and other confectionery treats.
The event was a sellout, with 600 tickets sold and was enjoyed by all that attended. It also gave local businesses a chance to meet potential new customers.
