Clarksville, TN – It was cool outside Friday, March 14th, but the bats were hot at Northeast High School when the Eagles hosted the Montgomery Central Indians. The baseball diamond echoed with the distinct “tink” of metal hitting rawhide as the two teams lit up the score board.
However, when the last echo from the last hit died after seven innings, it was the Indians’ bats smoking in victory. The Indians earned their first win of the season, 10-5, over the Eagles.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is beefing up traffic enforcement on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
Warning signs are posted, and they read “Strictly Enforced” followed by “Speed Limit 45 MPH.” The CPD will have traffic units in marked patrol vehicles, unmarked vehicles, and on motorcycles.
Wilma Rudolph Boulevard is currently the #2 roadway in traffic collisions. The beefed up traffic enforcement is to reduce and/or prevent more traffic collisions from occurring.

Clarksville, TN – On Tuesday, March 11th, 2014 at 1:41pm, an Officer from the Clarksville Police Department observed a foal hanging from a tree on the 2000 block of Whitfield Road. Officer Lisa Reed wrote a continuation about this call.
She spoke with the UT Montgomery County Agricultural Agent, and on Thursday, March 13th, 2014, he met her at the property where the horses are located. The agent said that the white mare with brown spots is in poor condition and emaciated.
