Clarksville’s CDE Lightband announces addition of Newly Developed Christian TV

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – CDE Lightband announced today the addition of the newly developed Christian TV on their Lightband Basic lineup.

The new channel is being developed by several local business leaders who have a desire to spread the word of Christ with faith based programming that presents many different doctrinal views. Most of the programming is independently produced and is intended to uplift and encourage viewers.

The channel will be on air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is transmitted via antennae on digital signal 21.4 but CDE Lightband customers saw it on channel 25 on the morning of March 14th.

“The mission of Christian TV is to reach all peoples within our viewing audience with the good news of Jesus Christ through excellent programming. We will provide quality interdenominational and multi-cultural programming designed to share the good news of Jesus Christ,” state programming director, Tony Evans.

“We are pleased to be able to work with Christian TV to add their network as part of our Lightband Basic lineup and to be able to provide another source for quality, faith based programming for our customers,” stated Brian Taylor, CDE Lightband Superintendent and General Manager.

CDE Lightband is a municipal power provider in Clarksville, TN with over 64,000 metered homes and business. CDE Lightband launched their broadband services in January of 2008 with a full compliment of digital video services, high speed internet and phone services. Currently, CDE Lightband provides broadband services to over 15,000 customers in their service area.
