Former Rossview High School golfer Alexa Rippy honored at Trevecca Nazarene University

Trevecca Nazarene University TrojansNashville, TN – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has selected Trevecca Nazarene University freshman golfer Alexa Rippy as the March 2014 G-MAC Women’s Golf Athlete of the Month.

The Rossview High School (Clarksville, Tennessee) product had two outstanding finishes in March.

Rippy equaled her career best with a round of 75 to finish second at the Tennessee State University Big Blue Invitational.

The Big Blue pitted Trevecca against three other NCAA Division 1 universities. Rippy also placed 11th at the Berry College Coosa Invitational.

At the TSU Invite, she shot a three-over 75 that was just two shots off the leader and is the second-best score in Trevecca women’s golf history.

It is the second time Rippy has turned in a 75 in her freshman campaign. At the Coosa Invitational, she finished just two shots outside of a top-six finish.
