Clarksville, TN – The Kenwood Lady Knights softball team held off a last inning rally to win a District 10-AAA conference game at home Monday, April 21st, against the West Creek Lady Coyotes, 3-2.
The Lady Knights committed six errors in the game to the Lady Coyotes two, but strong pitching kept the Lady Coyotes from taking advantage of most of the Lady Knights mistakes.
The Lady Knights plated two runs in the third inning to take a 3-0 lead over the Lady Coyotes, and kept the Lady Coyotes scoreless until the sixth inning.

The Lady Govs shot an opening-round 320, Monday, and sit in seventh place after Day 1 of the tournament, being played on par-72, 6,203-yard Fighting Joe layout at The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals.

Clarksville, TN – I took my lawn mower to a local repair shop, because I had mistakenly left some gas in the tank last year and it went bad. This generally requires that the fuel line and fuel pump or filter be cleaned out.
The shop I took it to immediately started going on about the carburetor being clogged, and added that it may not be cleanable, clearly forgetting that the reason lawn mowers have a priming bulb is that fuel drains out of the carburetor after sitting for just a few hours.

This annual event pits athletes from Murray State, Austin Peay and Tennessee Tech against one another.

Clarksville, TN – In late March, the Tennessee Association of Higher Education and Disability (TN-AHEAD) recognized Austin Peay State University’s Office of Disability Services as one of the top collegiate service organizations in the state.
During the TN-AHEAD Spring Conference and Business Meeting at East Tennessee State University, Janet Norman, associate director of the APSU Office of Disability Services, was presented with the Dona Sparger Professional Service Award for advocacy, education and service to individuals with disabilities.

Some of the activities at the event were inflatables, cupcake decorating, duck pond, face painting and more. Everything kicked off at 11:00am.

Representatives from across the state came to compete in the TN National Teenager Scholarship Pageant to showcase their achievements and accolades, and share over $30,000 in scholarship money and prizes.
