Campbell CrossingClarksville, Tn –Campbell Crossing, Lend Lease’s privatized military housing community located on Fort Campbell, will host its annual Earth Day event on Saturday, April 26th from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Our event will kick off with a tree dedication at 1:00pm, led by Garrison Commander Col. David L. “Buck” Dellinger. Other activities include a presentation by Nashville Zoo’s Wildlife on Wheels, and the WSMV Channel 4 Weather team and Snowbird “4WARN Alert”. Residents will also have the chance to compete in the Recycle Relay. Of course there will be plenty of fun crafts, face painting and free food for families to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

Residents will be invited to vote on the top five entries in this year’s Trash to Treasure competition. Participants for this event turned something they deemed “useless” into something new for a chance to win a flat screen TV.

We will also have our newest SYNERGY booth at this year’s event. SYNERGY is an initiative designed to provide Campbell Crossing families an understanding of the impacts of energy usage and consumption, as well as techniques and methods that help us reduce total energy consumption in our everyday lives. Make sure the kids stop by our booth to learn how they can join the SYNERGY Troops and make a pledge to become more sustainable today!

The event kicks off at 1:00pm sharp at The Commons at Werner Park, located at 2049 Indiana Avenue. For more information on this event, visit www.campbellcrossingllc.com.
