TDOT announces Heather Jensen as New Community Relations Officer for Region Three

Nashville native and media veteran Heather Jensen joins TDOT Communications Team

Tennessee Department of TransportationNashville, TN – Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer has appointed Heather Jensen as the Community Relations Officer for TDOT’s Region Three area, based in Nashville. Jensen officially started Monday April 7th, 2014.

Jensen takes over the position previously held by Deanna Lambert, who is now heading up a new video production unit in TDOT’s Community Relations Office.

Jensen has more than 10 years’ experience in television news reporting, anchoring, editing and producing in major markets, most recently working as a reporter/anchor for WRKN News 2 in Nashville.

Previously, Jensen worked in Georgia covering everything from local city council meetings to Presidential visits and tornadoes to drought.

Jensen is a Nashville native and holds a B.S. in Electronic Media Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. In her spare time, Jensen also enjoys volunteering with the Special Olympics here in Nashville.

Jensen will serve as the primary media contact for the Middle Tennessee media market and for the 26 counties that comprise TDOT’s Region Three area.
