Clarksville City Councilwoman for Ward 11 Kaye Jones to hold Town Hall Meeting Monday June 2nd, 2014

Clarksville City Council - Ward 11Clarksville, TN – On Monday, June 2nd, 2014 City Councilwoman Kaye Jones will host her Regular Town Hall meeting at 6:30pm at 2215 Madison Street, in the Clarksville Gas and Water Administration Building.

This meeting is open to the public, not just Ward 11.

She will be discussing the current City of Clarksville Budget hearings, the potential loss of the new Fire Station at Exit 1, with the money for that Station moved to build Station 12 at Exit 8, the potential purchase of land downtown to host a possible green space or “pocket park”, that the Two Rivers Company has taken an option to purchase, and many more issues to include the Inter-local agreement on the lighting of the RJ Corman Railroad bridge.

If you would like your voice heard on any of these items, I encourage you to attend!

We will also be discussing two new re-zonings that will affect the residents of Ward 11 and the city in general.

The first re-zoning involves Residential Property to Office Professional for a property at Stokes Road and Warfield Boulevard.

The second one is a re-zoning of land zoned Agriculture to R2 single family homes. This will add 300 more homes to Trenton Road, and an estimated 2800 cars a day to an already congested road. The State has said that it will not be doing anything with it anytime soon. The Clarksville Street department ordered a Traffic Study and the report said the level of service for that road has actually improved!

If you want change, you must stand up and be heard!

I hope to see all of you, and if you will , help me spread the word, so we can make our voice heard.
