Clarksville Police release additional information on Traffic Accident on Fort Campbell Boulevard

Clarksville, TN – On Monday, May 2nd 2014 at 1:12pm, Clarksville Police Officer L. Harris (1306) responded to a crash at US-41 (Fort Campbell Boulevard) and Park Lane.

A green 1995 Pontiac Firebird Firehawk Trans (not a green Chevrolet Camaro), driven by Jessica L. Estep, was traveling southbound in the continuous left turn lane on Fort Campbell Boulevard, when it merged into the left northbound travel lane.

Brittany M. Cherry, the driver of the 2011 Honda CRV, attempted to avoid a collision with the Firebird, and swerved into the continuous left travel lane. The Firebird sideswiped the CRV, resulting in damage to both vehicles. The CRV came to rest in the continuous left turn lane.

The Firebird continued south in the left northbound travel lane. The Firebird struck a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Nikita R. Jones, head on, resulting in both vehicles being damaged.

Estep had bruising and injuries consistent with striking the Firebird’s steering wheel. Estep voluntarily gave blood to be tested for drugs and alcohol; results are pending.

Charges against Estep are pending. There is no further information at this time.

• Passenger: John Steven Epley Jr- 27 year old Clarksville resident, transported to Gateway Medical Center, stable condition.

2011 Honda CRV

• Driver: Brittany M. Cherry- 20 year old Clarksville resident, not transported to a medical facility.

2008 Chevrolet Malibu

• Driver: Nikita R. Jones- 28 year old Clarksville resident, transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center, stable condition.
• Passenger: Juvenile- transported to Gateway Medical Center, stable condition.
• Passenger: Juvenile- transported to Gateway Medical Center, stable condition.
