Nashville Zoo’s Ice Day Saturday, July 26th

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – Old Man Winter is making an unseasonal appearance this summer at Nashville Zoo’s Ice Day. The annual event that refreshes guests and animals with cool activities and icy treats takes place Saturday, July 26th, 9:00am–4:00pm.

With the temperature near triple digits, Ice Day is welcomed relief for Middle Tennesseans.

Activities include ice cream eating contests, inflatable water slide, samples from Blue Bell Ice Cream, and make-your-own ice treat station.

Special keeper talks take place through the day that feature frosty animal enrichment, such as frozen grapes, turkey broth pops and chilled mealworms.

Other activities include the zookeeper balloon burst tank, face painting and animal ice sculptures at exhibits of by Specialty Ice Carvings.

Ice Day is included with Zoo admission or membership; however some activities have additional fees. Ice Day is supported by Blue Bell Ice Cream and State Farm Insurance.

Nashville Zoo is accredited by the prestigious Association of Zoos and Aquariums, assuring the highest standards of animal care and husbandry. Attracting more than 720,000 visitors annually, the Zoo is considered one of the top things to do in Nashville.
