For ending the regular season with the best overall record, it comes as no surprise that the Nashville Venom led the way with the most overall selections including landing a league-high five first-team nods.

Arguably the top receiving tandem in the league, WRs Phillip Barnett and Jordan Jolly earned slots on the league’s top team with a combined 47 touchdowns. They ended the regular season as the only receiving duo to both go over the 1,000 mark in yards.

Others that made the first team from the Venom were, C Chris Thompson, LB Cobran’i Mixon, as well as DB Scooter Rogers. Four more Venom players were named to the second team: local Nashville stars OL Stanlee Bradley (Antioch High School) and DB Corry Stewart (Father Ryan High School) along with DLs James Frazier and Wayne Daniels.

“Getting nine guys to be named is great,” said Head Coach Billy Back. “Having the most guys named is a testament to how hard the team has worked. All nine guys mentioned this being a team honor. The whole team has bought into this being a family. Nine were named but 27 were on one page. That is what this is all about.”

The 315 pound Bradley lost more than 50 pounds before the season started to get in shape for the team. Nicknamed “Garbage Truck”, Bradley has scored seven rushing TDs and has closed out victories at the end of games by gaining yards on the ground so the clock can keep running.

“I thank God for the opportunity to play back in my hometown,” said Bradley. “I made some bad decisions when I was younger that now I am trying to make up for. Not too many people thought I would even make the team and now I am ALL-PIFL. That is amazing to me. I owe a lot of people gratitude for this. I worked my tail off but I had people like my family pushing me. This is great but I want the team to win it all.”
