Clarksville National loses to Virginia at Southeast Regional 8-4

Little League SoftballWarner Robins, GA – Clarksville National lost a heart breaker 8-4, to Virginia, the defending Southeast Regional Champions in Warner Robins, GA today.

This loss moves the Clarksville softball team to the loser’s bracket.

Madisen Blackwell started on the mound for Clarksville National and pitched the entire game, taking the loss.

Blackwell struck out four batters, allowed eight runs and walked two.

Virginia’s Pitcher #21 Amanda Moore picked up the win striking out three, walking four and allowing six hits.

Virginia had eleven hits on the day while Tennessee managed six.

It was four errors though that proved costly for the Clarksville team, as Virginia only committed one.

Tennessee plays again tonight at 7:00pm against Georgia, a team they’ve already beaten, to stay alive in the tournament.

The winner will get another shot at Virginia, and will have to beat them twice to claim the title.
