Greer Stadium Hosts Sellout Crowd of 11,067 For Its Last Cheer

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds (74-64) celebrated the team’s final regular season game in Greer Stadium history before a sellout crowd of 11,067 fans Wednesday night, but took an 8-5 loss to the visiting Sacramento River Cats.

The attendance of 11,067 marks the first sellout at Greer since 2010 and the largest Greer Stadium crowd since 2007.

TBI indicts Andrew Hotte of Rutherford County on Child Pornography Charges

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has obtained indictments for a Rutherford County man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

TBI Agents, with the assistance of officers with the Murfreesboro Police Department and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, began an investigation in 2013 to identify subjects in Tennessee using peer-to-peer networks to traffic in child pornography.

APSU ROTC cadets travel abroad as part of Army CULP learning program

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Two Austin Peay State University ROTC cadets traveled abroad this summer to immerse themselves in different cultures and train with foreign militaries.

Ryan Lipinski, an APSU junior, spent a month in Bulgaria while Joshua Pollina, an APSU junior, traveled to a warmer climate in Greece.

Sounds Hurler Led Minors In ERA Prior To Mid-July Callup

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Former Nashville Sounds starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Year on Wednesday afternoon by the league office.

The 25-year-old right-hander dominated the PCL during his three-month stint with the Sounds earlier this season en route to earning a promotion to the Milwaukee Brewers. Entering the year, he had been rated by Baseball America as the organization’s top prospect.

However, Yellen presented a balanced assessment of the evidence and theories of labor market slack. While Yellen still sees plenty of labor market slack currently, she left the monetary policy outlook as an open question.

She repeated the notion (also included in the FOMC minutes) that the Fed could firm monetary policy sooner if the economy strengthens more than anticipated, but could also tighten more slowly if the economy disappoints.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department reports Old Russellville Pike Lane Closure

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Red Coat Run and all streets in the Seventy Six Estates subdivision including Revere Road, Justice Drive and Independence Drive. Construction crews are onsite repairing a water main leak.

The work is anticipated to be finished by approximately 11:30am The roads are open to traffic.
