Citizens will be able to pick up campaign literature and learn more about the grassroots effort to elect Bill Summers as the next mayor of Clarksville.

Summers believes energetic and vibrant city events, such as Riverfest, drive Clarksville’s future both socially and economically.

“Events like Riverfest that bring our community together and allow us to celebrate Clarksville’s attractions make our city a more desirable place to live and makes Clarksville more attractive to both citizens and tourists,” Summers said.

Summers has served as the city councilman for Ward 10 since 2007, after defeating an experienced incumbent, and won re-election in 2010 to his current second term with over 81% of the vote. He announced his campaign for the Mayor of Clarksville in November 2013.

According to the city’s website, the Riverfest Music and Arts Festival is a free two-day festival held in Clarksville, Tennessee, along the banks of the Cumberland River.
