Tennessee Titans dominate Kansas City Chiefs, 26-10

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans start the 2014 season with an impressive 26-10 win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday.

The Titans new 3-4 defense gave the Chiefs fits all day. Tennessee zeroed in on Kansas City running back Jamaal Charles limiting him to 34 yards total. The Chiefs were held to 3 first half points.

Montgomery County Clerk’s Office Plans Temporary Move for Office Renovation

 

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Clerk’s Office will be temporarily relocated within Veterans Plaza while their office undergoes renovation.

On Friday, September 12th, the County Clerk’s Office, including the drive through, will be closed to the public to facilitate the move.

The office will reopen to the public on Monday, September 15th at its temporary location of 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 406. This is the site of the former Career Center office and only two doors down from the current location.

Dr. Kadi Bliss, assistant professor of health and human performance, earned her Ph.D. in health education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. F&M Investment Services - Raymond James - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The economic data were mixed. ISM surveys were stronger than expected. Unit auto sales rocketed to a 17.4 million seasonally adjusted annual rate, the strongest pace since January 2006.

The Fed’s Beige Book, the summary of anecdotal economic information from the 12 Federal Reserve districts, was essentially more of the same (growth described as “modest to moderate”). The August Employment Report was disappointing.

APSU Lady Govs Golf set to open 2014 Fall season in Kentucky

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSULedbetter, KY – A pair of veterans will lead a young Austin Peay State University women’s golf team into its season-opening event as the Lady Govs travel 1 ½ hours up I-24 to participate in the Jan Weaver-Murray State Invitational.

The two-day, 54-hole event will take place Monday (36 holes) and Tuesday (18 holes) at the 6,178-yard, par-72 Drake Creek Golf Club layout.

Fort Campbell’s Outdoor Recreation Adventure Offers Climbing, Hiking and Paddle Boarding in September

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – MWR’s Outdoor Recreation Adventure Programs is offering some exciting activities in September!

Open Climb: September 11th, 18th and 25th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm For ages 5 and up. The cost is $10.00 per date which includes climbing and instruction. Come to the Indoor Climbing Wall for an evening of climbing as you please or learn to climb with Climbing 101 lessons. Registration deadline is 4:00pm on the day of the event.

IRS Identifies Five Easy Ways to Spot Suspicious Calls

 

Internal Revenue Service - IRSWashington, D.C. – The Internal Revenue Service issued a consumer alert today providing taxpayers with additional tips to protect themselves from telephone scam artists calling and pretending to be with the IRS.

These callers may demand money or may say you have a refund due and try to trick you into sharing private information. These con artists can sound convincing when they call. They may know a lot about you, and they usually alter the caller ID to make it look like the IRS is calling. They use fake names and bogus IRS identification badge numbers. If you don’t answer, they often leave an “urgent” callback request.
