Nashville Zoo to hold Ghouls at Grassmere in October

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – Singing pumpkins, dancing witches and three tons of candy await you at Ford Motor Company Fund’s Ghouls at Grassmere. The Halloween celebration that transforms the Zoo into a magical destination for kids of all ages is set for a seven night run, October 17th – 19th and 23rd – 26th.

Ghouls at Grassmere offers a safe and exciting Halloween experience for families with kids under age 12. Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy favorites like Carnevil games, Scary-Go-Round rides, Haunted Hayrides, animal and magic shows and trick-or-treating along the Zoo animal trails.

Special activities for 2014 include:

  • Nick Jr.’s Peppa Pig™ will be on-hand the first weekend (October 17th-19th) for a special meet-and-greet with fans.
  • A new vortex experience has been added to Festival Field that will test guests’ senses as they make their way through the optical illusion.
  • Additions to the Haunted Hayride include new animal character scenes and several dinosaurs from last spring’s DinoTrek making one final appearance before leaving the Zoo.

Ghouls at Grassmere is $12.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members, and includes all activities, rides and parking. Tickets purchased before October 16th receive a $2.00 discount. Advance tickets can be purchased at nashvillezoo.org or at the Zoo’s Guest Services hut every day before 3:00pm.

Ford Motor Company Fund’s Ghouls at Grassmere is presented by HCA, Delta Dental and Irwin Entertainment. The event is sponsored by Regions, Piedmont Natural Gas, Mix 92.9, Lifeguard Ambulance, NES and State Farm.
