Clarksville, TN – For second time in three weeks, Austin Peay State University junior setter Aubrey Marsellis has been named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference’s Setter of the Week.
Marsellis, of Owasso, Oklahoma, paced the Lady Govs during its three set wins against both Murray State and Morehead State.
She recorded 68 assists, averaging 11.33 assists per set, while quarterbacking the Austin Peay offense to a .228 team attack percentage.In the win against Murray State, Tuesday, Marsellis recorded 40 assists, three kills and three service aces. She followed that with a 28-assist, three-kill effort against Morehead State.
Marsellis leads the OVC’s setters with 11.75 assists per set in conference play, recording 141 assists in 12 sets. In addition, Marsellis has proven dangerous both as an attacker (82 kills) and a blocker (31 blocks) while taking advantage of her 6-1 frame.
It is the fourth adidas® OVC weekly honor for an Austin Peay volleyball player. Senior outside hitter Jada Stotts won the league’s offensive honors both September 22nd and September 29th. Marsellis was the league’s setter of the week, September 22nd.
