Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s golf team sits in fourth place after Day 1 of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, being played on the 5,974-yard Clarksville Country Club layout.
The Lady Govs shot an opening-round 311 and will have some catching up to do against a trio of Ohio Valley Conference foes.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Crow Community Center begins new weight loss and weight maintenance program in November
Clarksville, TN – Are you ready for a change? The Crow Community Center is set to begin a brand new program to encourage healthy lifestyles in the community.
This program, intended to help with weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight, is based on the PILI Ohana Program which focuses on weight control, behavior change, social systems, and lifestyle.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted impaired saturation patrols on October 10th and 11th, which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
During this time, there were 207 vehicles stopped and 166 individuals charged.

Clarksville, TN – It’s been a few years since Austin Peay State University men’s basketball game added as many scholarship players to its roster as it did for the 2014-15 season.
Back in 2010-11 the Govs actually brought in seven, including Will Triggs, TyShwan Edmondson and Josh Terry.
Clarksville’s Roxy Regional Theatre to hold Cratchit Children Auditions for “A Christmas Carol” on October 27th
Clarksville, TN – Local youth will have the opportunity to work alongside professional actors in “A Christmas Carol” when the Roxy Regional Theatre holds auditions for the Cratchit children on Monday, October 27th, at 5:00pm.
The Roxy will be selecting multiple casts of the Cratchit children (Martha, Peter, Belinda and Tiny Tim), so children need not be able to participate in all performances. Interested auditionees do not need to prepare anything, as a script will be provided for the audition, but they must be able to read.

Instant Peay Play: Youthful APSU Lady Govs, Governors golf teams looking for consistency with home events looming
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s women’s and men’s golf teams will looking for continued improvement and consistency, as both will play host to their lone home tournament of the year with the 16th Annual F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate.
The Lady Govs will be holding their event at the Clarksville Country Club on October 13th and 14th, while the Governors holding their tournament on October 20th and 21st at The Links at Novadell in Hopkinsville, KY.
“We love to be able to play at home,” Austin Peay coach Sara Robson said. “We have a lot of support from the community and a lot of volunteers to help us out.
