Clarksville High School Hosts American Athletic Union Tryouts

Clarksville, TN – The new Tennessee Glory American Athletic Union (AAU) boys team is holding tryouts at Clarksville High School Saturday, February 6th.

Formerly Clarksville United, the Glory are looking for 5th, 6th and 7th grade boys 13 and under willing and able to compete and travel. The tryouts will be held in the auxiliary gym at Clarksville High beginning at 9:00am accessed via the activities entrance (Specific grades and times for the tryouts are listed below).

Because this is a travel/competition team, the following obligations will be necessary by participating players and parents:

  1. Time – Practices and Tournaments
  2. Financially – AAU Player registration fee ($16.00); Tournament fees (TBD); Uniforms ($75.00)
  3. Tournaments – Coach and group of parents will decide the number of and which tournaments to play in. The fees will be evenly divided by the players.

Tryout Details:
5th grade (11 & Under) – 9:00am to 10:00am
6th grade (12 & Under) – 10:00am to 11:00am
7th grade (13 & Under) – 11:00am to Noon

Marlon Scott is a freelance journalist and writer. He graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2011 with a B.S. in Communications, majoring in Communication Arts with a concentration in print and web journalism. His writing career began as a sports writer for The All State, the APSU student newspaper, in 2006.
