2015 Softball and Kickball Adult Leagues

Spring Softball and Kickball deposits due

Registration for our spring and summer adult leagues is going on now. This year, adult teams can sign up for not only a variety of softball leagues, but a kickball league, too!

Due to field renovations at Heritage Park, each league can only accommodate up to 18 teams. To ensure your team gets a spot in the league, registration and team deposits of $100.00 are due Friday, February 13th for Adult Softball and Kickball. Teams may register online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com or at the Parks and Recreation Main Office, located at 102 Public Square.

Spring Adult Softball is open to men and women ages 18 and older. League play will kick-off March 22nd. Games will be played weekly on Sunday (Men’s), Monday (Over 45), Tuesday (True Co-Ed), Wednesday (Men’s), Thursday (Women’s), and Friday (Church Co-Ed). Final fees are due by Monday, March 9th and will be determined by the number of teams registered.

Spring Adult Kickball is open to men and women ages 18 and older. League play will kick-off March 26th. Games will be played weekly on Thursdays. Cost to play is $300.00 per team.

Free Silver Social to celebrate Mardi Gras

Are you at least 50 years of age and looking for something fun to do? The Kleeman Community Center is ready to let the good times roll with another Silver Social, sponsored by the Distinguished Steppers Unlimited, on Saturday, February 21st. Enjoy delicious food and dance the night away as we celebrate the music and excitement of Mardi Gras!

The Silver Social will take place from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at the Kleeman Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane. The best part? This event is free of charge!

Registration underway for Youth Recreation Leagues

Registration for the Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Youth Recreation Leagues is now underway. Participants can register through March 27th at any of our community centers, the Parks and Recreation Main office as well as online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com.

The baseball, softball and t-ball league is open to youth ages 5 to 14. Birth certificates are required at registration to verify the child’s age for first time registrants only.

Once again, Clarksville Parks and Recreation will be offering Blastball® for the 3 to 4 year olds. Blastball® is a fun alternative to traditional t-ball and uses a “honking” base to entertain younger plays, bringing excitement to learning the fundamentals. This league concentrates on developing a child’s running, hitting, catching, fielding and throwing skills.

The cost to play in any of the Youth Recreation Leagues is $40.00 per child and includes a team shirt, hat, and medal. Games will be played at the Heritage Park Baseball Fields beginning June 8th. Team photos will be taken June 6th.

Each team will practice once a week until the season begins, at which time, teams will have one practice a week and one game a week.
