City of Clarksville selects Camille Thomas as New Purchasing Supervisor

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan has selected Camille Thomas as the new Purchasing Supervisor for the City of Clarksville. Ms. Thomas’s new responsibilities will become effective immediately.

“We initiated an open and competitive recruitment process for this position. We received numerous applications and qualified applicants were interviewed. Ms. Thomas’s experience and understanding of the City’s purchasing process made her the most exceptional candidate,” said Mayor Kim McMillan.

“I am very excited to accept this position,” said Ms. Thomas. “I am looking forward to continuing to build on the best practices we already have in place. I think there are opportunities to bring more accessibility and understanding to the procurement process as the City continues to grow.”

Ms. Thomas currently serves as the Senior Purchasing Specialist. She has worked in the City’s procurement office since 1996 and has risen through the ranks of each position in that office. She has worked with every Procurement Supervisor the City has employed. Ms. Thomas replaces Mr. Robert Bryant who recently retired after years of dedicated service as the City’s Procurement Supervisor.

The procurement office meets the highest standards to make sure that taxpayers’ money is used as efficiently as possible through the City’s procurement and bid processes.
