Clarksville, TN – The top four seeds in the District 10-AAA boys basketball tournament played each other in the semifinals at Kenwood High School Saturday.
Last season’s tournament champion advanced while this season’s top seeded regular season champion came up short.
The Clarksville High Wildcats and the Kenwood Knights advanced to play in the district tournament championship.
A big quarter by the Wildcats subdued the Vikings, 55-39. Only one point separated the two teams going into the fourth quarter. Then, the Wildcats took over the game with a 17-1 run that had them ahead of the Vikings, 50-33, with two minutes left in the game.

The Knights failed to repeat as the district regular season champions, but they took a step toward repeating as district tournament champions with a 63-52 win over the Northeast Eagles.
With 2:51 remaining in the game, Matthew Norl made one free throw to give his team a 54-51 lead. It was followed by two points in the paint by Keith Dowlen. Then, the Knights shot 7-of-8 free throws to close out the last 90 seconds of the game.
