Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital outpatient services closed Friday, March 6th

Fort Campbell, KY – With the winter storm that affected the Fort Campbell and surrounding areas, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) will be open for emergency and inpatient services only Friday, March 6th.

BACH will operate with mission essential inclement weather personnel only and therefore will continue to provide all emergency and inpatient services, including hospital admissions to the inpatient ward or Intensive Care Unit, Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Mother/Baby unit services.

The supporting medical care offered for inpatient services that operate 24 hours, 7 days a week will continue as normal.

All outpatient pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, specialty services such as physical therapy, allergy, etc., and primary care services (Soldier and Patient-Centered Medical Homes) will be closed March 6th to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Unless it is a medical emergency, BACH’s command team encourages individuals not travel in hazardous weather-related road conditions.

All outpatient pharmacy services may utilize the TRICARE Home Delivery service at www.tricare.mil/homedelivery  when BACH’s outpatient pharmacy services are closed.

BACH personnel will make every attempt to reschedule patients as quickly as possible for patients who were scheduled for appointments and surgeries March 6th. Patients who do not receive a call to reschedule primary care appointments are encouraged to go to www.tricareonline.com or call 270.798.4677 or 931.431.4677 to reschedule your appointment.

Patients, who had a medical specialty appointment or a surgery scheduled, will be contacted by BACH personnel to reschedule the appointment. Patients who do not receive a call to reschedule are encouraged to call the respective specialty service Monday, March 9th.

“We apologize for any inconvenience closing outpatient services may cause you and your family members,” said BACH commander Col. George N. Appenzeller. “Patient and staff safety are always our number one priority.”

“We will continue to reassess the road conditions as well as the conditions of our sidewalks and parking areas. As soon as we feel it is safe to open all operations, we will do so immediately.”

Everyone is encouraged to exercise extreme caution in traveling in the snow and icy conditions.
