Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUKennesaw, GA – Austin Peay State University’s softball team didn’t have a lot go its way, Friday at Bailey Field, in the opening day of the Kennesaw State Owl Invitational dropping a 10-1 decision to Saint Louis and a 11-0 contest to Kennesaw State.

City of Clarksville Weather Update for Friday, March 6th

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – As expected, the inclement weather Clarksville experienced over the last two days initially created some issues with roadways. Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan provides this update on the City’s overall response.

The Clarksville Street Department has been working around the clock to clear roadways throughout the City. Major improvements have been made on all major roads. Crews began working on the secondary and neighborhood roads yesterday and will continue that work.

Some streets, especially those shady areas, remain hazardous in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

The Govs enter the match with a 4-3 record, having dropped three of their last four matches.

Clarksville Police Department requests Public Assistance in finding Runaway Juvenile Nicholas Fuller

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDNicholas FullerClarksville, TN – Detective Channing Bartel, from the Clarksville Police Department, is searching for a runaway juvenile. The runaway juvenile is 17-year-old Nicholas Fuller from Clarksville. Nicholas has been gone since Thursday February 19th, 2015.

His mother does not know where he is located at this time. He has a history of running away from home.

If anyone finds Nicholas Fuller or has any information in regards to his whereabouts, please call Detective Bartel at 931.648.0656 Ext. 5144.

Nicholas Fuller is 5’07” tall and weighs 135 pounds.

AAA Survey shows Majority of Americans will take 2-3 Vacations in 2015

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Junior Tiasha Gray, of the Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Gray took home adidas®/Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors after her 36-point, six-steal performance helped Austin Peay clinch the No. 7 seed on the regular season’s final day with a comeback win at Southeast Missouri, Saturday. She also was tabbed as CollegeSportsMadness.com OVC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her work against the Redhawks.

Clarksville – Montgomery County travel conditions still remain hazardous

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that the heavy accumulations of snow and sleet from Wednesday night and Thursday morning will continue to result in hazardous driving conditions around the Clarksville-Montgomery County area as well as the mid-state today.

While the sun will be out in full strength, temperatures will only top out in the low to middle 30s.
