Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team will close out its visit to the state of Georgia when it visits The College of Coastal Georgia for a 1:00pm, Tuesday match at the Marta Torey Tennis Complex.
The Lady Govs enter the match with a 1-8 record, and suffered a loss to Kennesaw State, Saturday to open up the trip.Senior Jovana Karac went 2-0 against the Owls, earning a win at No. 6 singles in addition to teaming with sophomore Hannah Tatlock to emerge victorious at No. 2 doubles.
Coastal Georgia is off to a 3-2 start to the season. The Mariners are led by freshman Freja Rasmussen and sophomore Daniella Caruso. The talented underclassmen occupy the top two positions in the starting lineup.
After playing the Mariners, the Lady Govs will return home to open the Ohio Valley Conference season with a Friday, 2:00pm match against UT Martin at the Austin Peay Tennis Center.
