Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office names Jamie Dexter as Full Time Public Information Officer

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOMontgomery County, TN – After an extensive application and interview process, Sheriff John Fuson has named Jamie E. Dexter as public information officer for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

“This was a drawn out process that yielded the best possible candidate for the job,” said Sheriff John Fuson.

Dexter has served as interim public information officer for the last year while also working in administration at the 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force.

His new position is full-time and includes handling press releases, media relations, all social media, attending community organization meetings and promoting positive relations between the MCSO and the community.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have been chosen for this position,” Dexter said. “It’s been a goal of mine from the beginning of my career, and I’m happy to serve Montgomery County, Sheriff Fuson, and my MCSO family.”
