Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team scored seven runs in the first two innings versus Eastern Illinois, Wednesday at Cheryl Holt Field, on its way to an 8-7 win over the Panthers, before dropping the nightcap, 12-0.
Clarksville, TN – On February 11th, 2015 the Clarksville Police Department responded to two separate but similar Indecent Exposure calls. One incident occurred inside the Belk Store at Governors Square Mall at 11:15am, and the other occurred in the parking lot at Target (near Governors Square Mall) at approximately 12:10pm — within minutes of each other.
In the Belk Store incident, a white male suspect completely exposed himself to a female victim. In the Target parking lot, a white male with the same description attempted to expose himself to a female victim, but she stopped him when she said, “I’m getting your tag number and calling the police.”
APSU Sports Information
Clarksville, TN – Sophomore infielder Garrett Copeland, of the Austin Peay State University baseball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Copeland hit .500 (6-for-12) with three multi-hit games serving to push his batting average up to a team-high .345. He also had three extra-base hits – all doubles – and scored six runs while driving in three.
In the midweek non-conference contest against UT Martin, Copeland was 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored, opening the scoring for the Govs with a third-inning double that drove in Imani Willis.
Fort Campbell, KY – On March 22nd, MWR and Mathews Nissan are holding a Free Madden Tournament at The Zone.
The first 40 people to sign up at 11:00am will be entered in the tournament.
First place wins a PS4. Second place wins $150.00 cash. You must be age 18 or over to participate.

After having been settled in their seats for quite some time, one of the ladies decided to retire to repair her make-up. She began walking, face towards the screen and scooting sideways towards the aisle.

Clarksville, TN – Alumni Weekend for Austin Peay State University baseball and softball, will be held April 10th-12th. This is the second year for the event.
The Bat Govs will be playing host to Belmont that weekend in a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series that will commence with a 6:00pm, Friday, April 10th, single game, followed by a 2:00pm, Saturday contest and a 1:00pm, Sunday battle.
Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board has waived making up the days students missed due to inclement weather this year.
Students’ last half day of school will remain May 21st. April 10th, which was scheduled as an early dismissal day, will now be a regular school day.

Clarksville, TN – Visit Governor’s Square Mall this Saturday for an afternoon full of fashion and fun! The Prom Fashion Show will start at 3:00pm in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods and will feature prom dresses from Dillard’s.

Austin Peay State University Center of Excellence For The Creative Arts to hold reading event with Charlotte Pence and Adam Prince
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University welcomes two award-winning authors, as Charlotte Pence and Adam Prince will read excerpts of their works on Thursday, March 26th at 8:00pm at the APSU Honors Common. The event is free and open to the public.
Pence is the author of two award-winning poetry chapbooks and the editor of “The Poetics of American Song Lyrics,” a collection of academic essays that regards songs as literature and identifies intersections between poems and songs.
