Montgomery County Government announces John Clement to intern as Military Affairs Administrator

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office is pleased to announce Chief Warrant Officer 3 John Clement will be serving as the County’s Military Affairs Administrator through an internship program.

Chief Clement has flown numerous Air Assault and Medical Evacuation (Medevac) missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, served as a maintenance test pilot and most recently served as the Officer in Charge (OIC) for the Adaptive Reconditioning Program for Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion.

In his 20 plus years serving in the U.S Army he has had multiple deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia and was recently awarded the Legion of Merit on March 24th of this year.

Clement is married, with two daughters, and has been in Montgomery County since 2003. His family plans to stay in the area following his retirement from the Army.

He will be tasked to expand the Internship program to other county departments as feasible and work on special projects on behalf of the County Mayor’s Office.

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett states, “Chief Clement will bring a fresh perspective and much needed extra set of eyes to some of the programs and new initiatives we are looking to start. I’m incredibly excited about the expertise he brings to the county and look forward to working with him and heroes like him as we expand the program.”

Chief Clement will begin this new role immediately.
