Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Warrior Week started Friday night, May 8th, with a free concert at Liberty Park. The event was in honor of all military personnel and their families.
There was plenty of food and drink like hotdogs, Mexican food, sodas and lemonade for purchase.
Local American rock band Backroad Brigade got things started at 6:30pm. They are a multi-faceted band with influences ranging from the 60s through the 80s Rock, Blues, and Indie Rock.“I’m down here with Clarksville Singles listening to this good music, enjoying the nice weather and socializing,” replied Lauri Morrison. “I love this band. Their a great opening band. Their really fun.”
Backroad Brigade really got the crowd going with their driving rock sound.
By 8:00pm, everyone was ready for the award-winning, Country artists Little Texas. Little Texas has an energetic sound that brings together the feel and look of rock music with a country music theme.
“I think this is a great event. Little Texas is a great band,” stated Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan. “We are here for a very special cause and that’s to honor our men and women in uniform as part of Warrior Week here in Clarksville. The City of Clarksville is proud of all of them and what they do for our country.”
“We had a good time out here tonight. There are a lot of people here. We had a lot of fun,” said Dalton Akins of Backroad Brigade. “It was a good to honor those that are serving our country.”
For those that did not come, you missed a heck of a show.
