Clarksville Police reports Fire on Fort Campbell Boulevard destroys Building

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Shortly after 4:00am today, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Randy Paddock was travelling South on Fort Campbell Boulevard when he smelled smoke. Paddock began checking the area and found a building behind the Starlite Lounge with flames shooting fifty feet or more into the air.

Clarksville Fire/Rescue was dispatched at 4:04am and had to pull down a locked gate to get to the structure.

Paddock said, “Even from the other side of the gate, about a hundred feet away, the heat was incredible.”

Firefighters battled the large fire for several hours, but three buildings mostly used for storage were a total loss. Fire units from Stations One, Five, and Six fought the blaze.

The cause of the fire has not been released. There were no reported injuries.
