Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville Dental Center is the latest business to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville and Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard attended their green ribbon cutting to congratulate the doctors and staff on earning their certification.
“It just made sense for us to do something like this. It’s another way that we can do something positive where we live,” commented Edington.
“I’m not surprised. You are always doing something to make the community better. Congratulations and thank you for setting a great example.” said Durrett.
After the ribbon cutting the mayor handed out County coins to those who were a part of the green team including Ruth Gordon, Ginger Walker, and Joan DeWald. Some of the things the center does to conserve resources include; recycling paper, cardboard, bottles and cans, installed occupancy sensors, employees power down computers and other equipment before leaving for the day, use email for reminders rather than mailing cards, and retrofitted toilettes with low flush apparatuses to save water.
