Campbell Crossing Resident Nia Gibbs-Francis Named 2015 WinningEdge Scholar

Campbell CrossingFort Campbell, KY – Campbell Crossing resident, Nia Gibbs-Francis, has been selected as a recipient of the 2015 WinningEdge Scholarship, sponsored by WinnCompanies.

Nia was among 43 national winners of the $1,000 scholarship awarded annually by WinnCompanies, the national property management firm that serves Campbell Crossing.

Created in 2012, the WinningEdge Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to residents who are high school and GED graduates and who are pursuing studies at a post-secondary educational institution. Recipients are chosen based on academic performance, character, and proficiency in their chosen field of study.

Nia, 17, a graduate from Fort Campbell High School, will apply her scholarship towards her education at Austin Peay State University, where she plans to study Social Work.

When asking Nia what receiving this scholarship meant to her, she said “This scholarship means a lot to me, it means a chance to fulfill my dreams. It means that I have the opportunity to go out in the world, and make a difference in numerous amounts of people’s lives. It also means that there are people supporting me in this new journey I am going to embark on and for all of this I am truly grateful.”

A total of $43,000 was awarded to WinnCompanies residents nationwide through the WinningEdge Scholarship Program this year. Of the 43 recipients, 21 are residents of military communities managed by WinnCompanies.
