Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Tai Chi for Arthritis begins August 11th

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Another session of Tai Chi will begin on August 11th at the Crow Community Center, located at 211 Richview Road. There are a total of 8 one-hour long sessions included in the program. Tai Chi will take place on Tuesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, August 11th through September 29th.

Tai Chi involves stretching and different chair exercises. Improved balance, increased flexibility, and reduced stress are benefits you can receive from participating.

Studies show that Tai Chi improves and possibly prevents chronic conditions including arthritis, heart disease, and diabetes. It also relaxes and improves overall mind, body, and spirit.

Reserving your spot early is important because the class is limited to a maximum of 20 participants! The program is available for adults of any age who are interested.

The cost for the entire 8-week program is $20.00. Participants can register at the Crow Center, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Main office, or online. A Community Center ID is required and can be purchased for $5.00. Center IDs are good for one calendar year.
