After reporting to camp on Tuesday, the Lady Govs spent the first week conducting fitness tests, organizing team building activities, and developing as a squad on the training ground.

Over the next four days, competition begins as two Missouri Valley Conference teams report to Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.

Having earned a shutout win over the Lady Govs to open the exhibition slate a season ago, Indiana State is looking to rebound following a 1-7 record in MVC play. The Sycamores welcome back their two leading scorers from 2014 – Maddie Orf and Sydeny Lovelace – who combined for 11 goals and seven assists last year.

Evansville, which defeated Austin Peay 3-0 in the 2014 regular season, enters Friday night with an 11-win season behind it, the first time that mark has been reached since 2008. The Purple Aces punched their ticket to the MVC Championship, courtesy of a win over Drake, before falling 2-1 to Illinois State in the finals. Junior Bronwyn Boswell returns as the leading scorer, coming off a nine goal season.

The Lady Govs return all but two players for 2015, along with 10 newcomers joining the program. After scoring no goals last preseason, APSU will look for a brighter start in the early stages this time around. Leading the attack will be 2014 All-OVC Second Team selection Gina Fabbro, owner of 14 goals in her two seasons.

Austin Peay will kick off the regular season on August 21st at home against UAB, which will be the first home opener at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field since 2008.
