Nashville Sounds to hold Sports Equipment Drive at First Tennessee Park August 20th-22nd

Team Partnering With The Sports Fund To Aid Area Non-Profit Programs As Part Of “Play It Forward” Campaign

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds, in conjunction with The Sports Fund and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, will host a sports equipment drive during games at First Tennessee Park from August 20th-22nd as part of the “Play It Forward” campaign.

The Sounds are encouraging fans to bring new or gently used sports equipment to deposit in collection bins at the ballpark gates.

Suggested items to donate include, but are not limited to:

  • Baseballs/softballs
  • Baseball bats
  • Catchers gear
  • Baseball gloves
  • Soccer balls
  • Shin guards
  • Cleats
  • Footballs
  • Shoulder pads
  • Kicking tees
  • Basketballs
  • Hockey sticks
  • Kickballs

All fans who make a donation will be entered into a drawing to win a $50.00 gift card redeemable in the Sounds Pro Shop.

Collections will be sorted and distributed to local non-profits that provide team membership experiences to at-risk youth in the 40 counties of Middle Tennessee.

The Sounds host the Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA-Colorado Rockies) at 7:05pm on Thursday and Friday and at 6:35pm on Saturday evening. Gates open one hour prior to first pitch. Complete information is available on the team’s website at www.nashvillesounds.com
