Clarksville, TN – This evening, August 22nd, 2015 at 10:15pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded a traffic crash involving a pedestrian on Dover Road near Walker Circle.
A vehicle struck the pedestrian on the roadway. The pedestrian has severe injuries from the crash and will be transported to a medical facility. Travelers are asked to avoid this area if at all possible.
First Tennessee Park Sells Out For 19th Time This Season, Hosts 10,717 Fans
Nashville, TN – In front of 10,717 fans at sold out First Tennessee Park, the Nashville Sounds won 3-2 over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Saturday night.
The Sounds recorded four hits over the first two innings, including two doubles, but were unable to score a run. Craig Gentry and Joey Wendle were both thrown out on plays at the plate in the first, and the game went to the third scoreless. The first two hitters in the Sounds’ lineup would get their revenge later in the contest.

Fort Campbell, KY – Sgt. Timothy and Brooke Collins are the proud parents of Fort Campbell’s 101st Baby of the month born at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Wednesday, August 19th.
Fort Campbell’s newborn baby boy, Bryan Daniel Collins, was read his orders August 20th by Cpt. Michael Finch of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell while Major General Gary J. Volesky, commanding general, presented both mom and dad a 101st Birth Certificate.

Senior Trey Taylor took the first snaps of the 91-play scrimmage, guiding the No. 1 offense through much of the day.

Clarksville, TN – The sounds of iron being lifted, feet pounding the track and athletes pushing themselves past their limit filled the air on August 1st, as nearly two-dozen teams converged on the campus of Austin Peay State University for the inaugural Governors Games Powered by CrossFit Clarksville.
While teams of four competed for top honors, the real goal was to honor APSU and the Clarksville community’s military alumni, soldiers and families from Fort Campbell.

Fort Campbell, KY – The 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, cased its colors and uncased new colors in a ceremony to symbolized the brigade’s re-designation as the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Sustainment Brigade here July 30th, 2015.
The Brigade has seen many transformations since its initial activation. Its first re-designating was from the 101st Abn. Div. Support Group to the 101st Abn. Div. Support Command, February 3rd, 1964. Then the unit re-designation from the DISCOM to the 101st Sust. Bde., April 21st, 2005. Although, they were re-designated in 2005, they didn’t don the brigade’s patch until June 4th, 2010.

Clarksville, TN – With two full weeks of practice under its belt, Austin Peay State University football team will take the field for its first full-scale scrimmage of the preseason, 9:00am, Saturday, at Governors Stadium.
The Govs will have been in full pads for just over a week, during which time head coach Kirby Cannon has learned a lot about his 2015 squad and enjoyed the continued passion exhibited by his team.
