Nashville Zoo to hold Sunset Safari October 1st

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – Epicurean delights, surprise animal hosts and drinks from our city’s top beverage purveyors await you at Sunset Safari 2015 set for Thursday, October 1st. This year’s event, Swing On By, celebrates the 2016 arrival of spider monkeys at Nashville Zoo.

UBS is the title sponsor for this year’s Sunset Safari. Guests can stroll the lush habitat of the Zoo as they enjoy appetizers, entrees and sweets from over 40 Nashville restaurants. Special animal hosts and live entertainment will also be posted along the trail. The Patron Party features exclusive food and beverages and special picture opportunities with animals.

Sunset Safari kicks off at 6:30pm. To prepare for the event, the Zoo will be closing at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 1st.

Tickets are $150.00 for the main event, $250.00 at the patron level and $1,000 at the benefactor level.

A special junior level main event ticket is available for guests ages 21 – 29 for $75.00. Tickets can be purchased at www.nashville.org/sunset-safari

The event is chaired by Shelley Logan, Anne Elizabeth McIntosh and Brenda Oslin and includes honorary committee members Jennifer and Josh Turner and Anne Davis and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean. Junior chairs are Eileen Campbell Hart and Ashley Herod Brockman. Sunset Safari is presented by Humphreys & Partners Architects L.P. and Service Systems Associates.
