Nashville Zoo’s “Boo at the Zoo” coming in October

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – It’s got a new name, but the fun is still the same. Nashville Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo, formally known as Ghouls at Grassmere, is set for an eight-night run, October 16th, 17th, 18th, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 29th and 30th from 5:00pm – 9:00pm.

Kids can come dressed in their favorite costume and enjoy carnival games, carousel rides, hayrides, animal shows and trick-or-treating along the Zoo trail.

The Children’s Hospital at Centennial is the title sponsor of this year’s Boo at the Zoo. The annual evening event offers families a safe and exciting Halloween experience for kids under age 12.

Special areas throughout the event include:

  • StoryTail Treat Trail uncovers festive treats around every corner. The candy selection is palm oil-free and includes favorites like M&M’s, Tootsie Pops, Skittles and more.
  • Fall Festival Field features carnival games, bounce houses, hay maze, corn pit and Howl-O-Ween Hayride, which takes riders on a trip through the Zoo’s backroads to discover magical scenes, festive friends and a stop through the famous Bubble Tunnel.
  • Enchanted Village offers guests the opportunity to get their picture taken with a princess, meet a talking pumpkin and enjoy an animal show in this special interactive area. Papa Smurf and Smurfette will be on-hand the first weekend (October 16th-18th) for a special meet-and-greet with fans.

Boo at the Zoo is $12.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members, and includes all Halloween-themed activities and parking. Tickets purchased before October 1st receive a $2.00 discount. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.nashvillezoo.org/boo or at the Zoo’s Guest Services hut every day.
