Clarksville, TN – The Drive to 5…500 that is…starts Thursday.
Austin Peay State University athletics and the Governors Club will utilize October to increase its Governors Club membership numbers, with the goal set for 500 total members.
It has been calculated the annual cost of the APSU student-athlete experience is $24,000. Annual donations through the Governors Club membership helps offset the athletic budget and plays a substantial role in providing additional funding for many department and sports-specific enhancements.
Included in the benefits for joining the Govs Club are hospitality during home events, the E-newsletter, invitation to special events, Ann Ross Bookstore discounts, basketball parking, gift items plus potentially many more.
The October membership drive will coincide with the push for Governors Basketball season-ticket holders to renew tickets where APSU will providing “30 Prizes in 30 Days,” meaning a prize per day will be awarded to lucky season-ticket holders.
The available prizes include: Lunch with Athletics Director Ryan Ivey; lunch with a coach of their choice; voiceover for Governors radio commercial; Club Level tickets for the Governors’ October 17th football game with UT Martin; sideline passes for the October 25th homecoming game versus Jacksonville State; game-day experience with the Governors Sports Network; four tickets to an APSU road basketball game; pregame meal with Lady Govs basketball team; pregame meal with the Governors basketball team and two all-sessions tickets to the 2016 Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournament in Nashville.
In addition, other prizes will include gift cards from APSU corporate sponsors restaurants along with assorted Governors apparel. Basically, the earlier season tickets are renewed the more prizes those ticket holders will be eligible for during the upcoming month.
