Austin Peay is coming off a pair of road losses at Jacksonville State and Belmont last weekend, which dropped its away record to 1-5 this season.

Junior forward Gina Fabbro returned to her scoring ways at JSU, recording two goals to equal her career-high with seven. In Nashville, junior Nicole Wojcik scored APSU’s lone goal, giving her 14 points this year.

Tennessee Tech has exceeded preseason expectations in 2015 after being tabbed to finish 10th in the conference. The Golden Eagles are directed by a strong defense, led by goalkeeper Kari Naerdemann.

Naerdemann ranks second in the major goalie categories (goals against average, save percentage, saves), and has allowed just two goals in OVC play with three shutouts. Offensively, junior duo Kalyn Pruitt and Abi Gearing lead the team with a combined five goals and three assists.

Sunday, the Lady Govs return to the friendly confines of Morgan Brothers Soccer Field where they are 5-1.

Morehead State enters the weekend on a three-match winning streak with seven goals scored in that span. Forward Dani Wilson posted a performance worthy of Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors last weekend, tallying one goal and two assists.

She now has six goals and five assists this season, while Abby Timm leads the Eagles with eight goals. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Murphy holds a .826 save percentage, good for third in the OVC.

Morehead State: The Lady Govs fell to Morehead State for the third consecutive year, losing 2-1, September 28th, 2014. The Eagles connected with a 52nd-minute goal, and later sealed the victory in the 78th minute. The defeat dropped APSU to 3-10-2 in the series.

Keep An Eye On

Freshman McKenzie Dixon is one goal away from becoming the ninth-leading scorer in program history as she seeks her 10th.

Junior Natalie Smith is expected to become the second Lady Gov to eclipse 1,000 minutes this season (currently 939) after Mary Ruth Locastro did so last match.

With a start this week, senior Taylor Van Wagner will reach 50 in her APSU career.
