Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam Appoints Clarksville’s Jill Ayers as Circuit Court Judge for 19th Judicial District
Vacancy created when Tennessee General Assembly established additional Court
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam has appointed Jill Bartee Ayers of Clarksville as Circuit Court Judge for Division IV of the 19th Judicial District, a position created by the Tennessee General Assembly earlier this year. The 19th Judicial District serves Montgomery County and Robertson County.
“We are fortunate to have someone with Jill’s legal experience to fill this important position,” Haslam said. “Citizens of the 19th Judicial District will be well served by her appointment.”
Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency to hold full Scale Training Exercise with Local Responders
Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency is partnering with Gateway Medical Center and numerous local agencies to host a full scale training exercise on the morning of Thursday, October 22nd.
The exercise will be conducted in the Dunlop Lane and International Boulevard area and carry over to hospital. Clarksville, TN – On Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 at approximately 6:00pm, Clarksville Police officers responded to the BP Food Shop at 2088 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in response to a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived they found a male who had suffered a gunshot wound to the neck. This person, who was later identified as 18 year old Justin Revis, was pronounced dead at the scene. «Read the rest of this article»
Clarksville, TN – The concert choir at Clarksville Christian School auditioned for and was invited to perform in the Christmas Candlelight Processional concert at Walt Disney World for two performances on December 4th, 2015.
The Christmas Candlelight Processional is the largest show in the parks for the Christmas season. They will join with other choirs and a professional orchestra to sing twelve songs, including a finale of the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah.
Clarksville, TN – On Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 at 3:40pm, Clarksville Police Officers were on a welfare check and found a woman bleeding from the mouth. It was later determined that she was shot in the neck.
This morning, October 21st, 2015, 23-year-old Maverrina Stanford from Nashville Tennessee was booked into Montgomery County Jail with the charges of Aggravated Assault and Simple Possession/Casual Exchange. Her total bond amount is $251,000.

A native of Ohio, Dr. Bernhoffer is a graduate of the University of Toledo and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He participated in the National Health Service Corps.
Tennessee Titans (1-4) vs. Atlanta Falcons (5-1)

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (1-4) host the the Atlanta Falcons (5-1) this week at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143). Kickoff is scheduled for noon CDT on Sunday, October 25th. The Falcons will appear in a regular season game at Nissan Stadium for only the third time. The Titans took both of the previous two meetings at the venue, winning 30-17 in 1999 and 20-13 in 2007.
This week’s game will be televised regionally on FOX, including Nashville affiliate WZTV FOX 17. Thom Brennaman will handle play-by-play duties alongside analyst Charles Davis with Tony Siragusa serving as an on-field analyst.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Sango Road between Sango Drive and South Woodson Road to replace a fire hydrant. Low water pressure may affect area residents.
The work is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 12:00pm.
The road is open to traffic.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water sewer rehabilitation contract crews have added Haven Drive to this week’s work schedule.
In addition to Haven Drive, crews will continue scheduled sewer line rehabilitation on Park Lane, Chestnut Drive and Jackson Road through Friday.

Clarksville Police Department Conducts Active Shooter Training Exercise at Carmike Governor’s Square 10 movie theater
Clarksville, TN – With the current threat of active shooter incidents in schools, movie theaters, and other businesses, the Clarksville Police Department conducted an active shooter training exercise for the Patrol Officers of the Clarksville Police Department.
The training took place this Tuesday morning, October 20th, 2015 from 7:00am to 9:00am at Carmike Governor’s Square 10 at Governor’s Square Mall. The training is to reinforce response tactics in active shooter scenarios. «Read the rest of this article»
