Clarksville Ladd Drive Shooting Suspect captured in Mississippi

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On November 2nd, 2015 the Clarksville Police Department responded to a shots fired call on Ladd Drive where one person was killed and another hospitalized.

On November 6th, 2015,  a male juvenile suspect in Ladd Drive homicide was apprehended in Cleveland Mississippi without incident. The juvenile is now in custody and awaiting extradition back to Clarksville, TN to face the charge of Criminal Homicide.

101st Airborne Division Headquarters to deploy to Iraq, Kuwait in support of Operation Inherent Resolve

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – The U.S. Department of the Army announced today that the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) headquarters, stationed in Fort Campbell, will deploy to Iraq and Kuwait with approximately 500 Soldiers for a nine-month rotation in early 2016 to support Operation Inherent Resolve.

The 101st Airborne Division headquarters will assume the role of Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command-Iraq, replacing the 82nd Airborne Division headquarters. In that role, the division headquarters will provide command and control of coalition troops and training, advising, and assisting Iraqi Security Forces.

The Governors will be closing out the second season at their refurbished home with a visit from Southeast Missouri—the last Ohio Valley Conference foe to grace the rebuilt digs.

Law Enforcement agencies to hold Robot Rodeo Saturday, November 7th in Clarksville

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The FBI, Fort Campbell, Nashville International Airport, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Bomb Squads will partner with middle school students on Saturday, November 7th for a Robot Rodeo competition at the Northeast School Campus.

The event kicks off at 9:00am. After opening comments, bomb squads will conduct several demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of their robots. Afterwards each bomb squad will be paired with a middle school and their students for the competition. «Read the rest of this article»

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUBrentwood, TN – Freshman McKenzie Dixon and junior Gina Fabbro, of Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team, took home Ohio Valley Conference hardware at the tournament banquet, Thursday.

In her first season as a Lady Gov, Dixon was tabbed to both the All-OVC First Team and All-Newcomer Team, while Fabbro landed on the All-OVC Second Team.

Montgomery County holds Public Servants Serving Students Day at West Creek Elementary School

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Students at West Creek Elementary School received a special treat when they arrived for lunch on Wednesday. The usual lunch staff was replaced by Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies and first responders from Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Clarksville Fire Rescue (CFR).

West Creek Elementary School Resource Officer Jason Wright organized the event. He called it Public Servants Serving Students Day. He invited fellow deputies, paramedics, and fire fighters to help him serve lunch to the students.

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – In honor of the national observance of Veterans Day, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) personnel will observe the federal holiday Wednesday, November 11th. Therefore, all Soldier and Patient-Centered Medical Homes and pharmacies will be closed.
