Austin Siders, enterprise resource planning systems administrator, was named interim director of Information Technology while the University conducted a national search for Wall’s replacement.

In November, the University hosted forums with the four top candidates, before selecting Molnar, executive director for Solutions Delivery at Xavier University, for the position. She will begin her new role at APSU on January 19th, 2016.

“This strategic leadership position at APSU is exactly what I was looking for in my next career move,” Molnar said. “I look forward to partnering with APSU academic, administrative and student leadership as the University sets its strategic plan for the future.”

Molnar comes to APSU with more than 20 years of technical experience, having worked in public education and in the private sector. She spent seven years at Xavier University, where she helped create and implement that school’s Information Technologies strategic plan. Molnar represented Xavier at the state level by serving on the Ohio Board of Regents—CIO Advisory Board Business and Finance subcommittee.

Prior to her time at Xavier, Molnar was director of Infrastructure and Engineering and director of Administrative Computing at Kent State University. At Kent State, Ohio’s second largest public university, she managed a diverse staff of professional and technical employees.

Molnar also served as technical project manager at Third Federal Savings and Loan, in Cleveland, Ohio, and as project coordinator, business systems analyst and senior programmer analyst for Roadway Express, Inc.

She earned her Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in information technology, from Kent State in 2007. Molnar received her Bachelor of Science in computer science in 1991 from the University of Akron, and she also earned a Project Management Professional certification in 2004.
