Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Thursday December 17th and Friday December 18th, 2015, from 9:00am-3:00pm (excluding weekends), there will be lane closures on SR 76 eastbound, between Port Royal Road and Harmony Church Road in the City of Adams, in order for Cumberland Electric Membership Corp to place aerial cable at several locations.

Clarksville, TN – A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) early Thursday morning in Nashville, Tennessee.
Illya Novikov was stopped by THP and arrested for driving under the influence and violation of the implied consent law.
Novikov has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2010 and has been placed on administrative leave pending an internal review of the incident.
THP is working with the Sheriff’s Office to complete the internal review of the incident.

Knoxville, TN – With 2015 now in the rear-view mirror, Tennessee turns its attention to Southeastern Conference play when it travels to Auburn on Saturday. Tipoff against the Tigers is slated for 2:00pm ET (1:00pm CT) on CBS.
The Vols (7-5) closed out its pre-conference schedule on Tuesday as it battled back to defeat a pesky Tennessee State squad, 74-69, at Thompson-Boling Arena. The victory was the second straight come-from-behind effort for Tennessee, which used an 11-3 run over the final 3:26 to erase a three-point TSU lead and seal the win. A similar effort was needed on December 22nd when UT closed out a 76-67 win over ETSU with a 15-2 spurt over the last four minutes.

The road is open to traffic.

Knoxville, TN – A joint investigation by Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and authorities from the Scott County Sheriff’s Department has resulted in the arrest of a Robbins man in connection to a homicide near his Scott County home early Thursday morning, December 31st, 2015.
At the request of 8th District Attorney General Jared Effler, TBI Agents joined the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of 20-year-old Nickie Ben Brumitte near a home on Mountain View Road in Robbins early Thursday morning.
