UT Lady Vols Basketball starts SEC Season at Missouri Tigers, Monday

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The #13/16 Lady Vols (9-3) will open up SEC play with a road trip to #23/RV Missouri (13-0) at Mizzou Arena on Monday. Tipoff is slated for 6:00pm CT (7:00pm ET), and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network and streamed via WatchESPN.

The game will take center stage in the league, as the rest of the SEC’s teams play on Sunday. This marks the first time since 1978 these programs have met with both squads ranked nationally.

Mizzou is off to its best start in school history, while the Big Orange women are riding a two-game win streak after dropping three out of five from late November to mid-December.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold Public Meeting on Safe Routes to Kenwood School Complex January 5th, 2016

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – On January 5th, 2016 beginning at 6:00pm, a citizen’s input workshop to discuss a potential grant application and project will be held at Kenwood Elementary School, located 1101 Peachers Mill Road.

The City of Clarksville is teaming up with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System to seek federal/state funding to assist with providing students at the Kenwood School Complex better and safer routes by adding a series of wide sidewalks through Heritage Park and along East Pine Mountain Road.

APSU Governors Basketball falls 79-70 to Eastern Kentucky Colonels

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Eastern Kentucky took advantage of early Chris Horton foul trouble and were never headed, defeating Austin Peay State University, 79-70, Saturday night, in Ohio Valley Conference-opening play at Dave Aaron Arena.

The loss dropped APSU to 7-9 overall while EKU collected its season’s second road win, improving to 10-6 overall.
