Montgomery County Sheriff Investigator Larry Hodge passes away

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Thirty year veteran with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Investigator Larry Hodge, 55, has passed away.

Hodge is the son of an Air Force veteran and grew up all over the world. As a child he rose to the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts. He graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1978 and shortly thereafter settled in Clarksville with his family.

Hodge joined the Sheriff’s Office in 1986. He started his career in the Patrol Division. In 1996 he was promoted to Investigator.

During his career at the Sheriff’s Office Hodge received numerous letters of commendation from educators, clergy, military officials, Sheriff’s from neighboring agencies, and local citizens. He was known for his tireless dedication, attention to detail, and expert courtroom testimony.

Hodge’s dedication to work was only surpassed by his dedication to his family. When he was not working he devoted his time to his wife Michelle and his sons Zachary and Travis, who he coached for many years in little league ball games.

Hodge is survived by his wife of 29 years, Michelle Dallas Hodge; sons, Zachary Hodge of Zurich, Switzerland and Travis Hodge of Clarksville, TN; sister, Melinda Hodge of Clarksville, TN; brother David (Desiree) Hodge of Hendersonville, TN; and his many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 7th, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and Friday, January 8th, from 9:00am until the hour of service, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 8th, at 11:00am, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel. Burial will follow at Mapleview Cemetery, in Marion, KY.
