Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – With the first serious cold weather storm front of 2016 headed toward Tennessee tonight, the Tennessee Department of Health is reminding residents about the need for increased efforts to protect themselves, their families and their friends from winter weather-related harm.

“We all need to take these potentially deadly winter weather activities and storms seriously, and use warnings as an opportunity to prepare and think differently than our normal routine to prevent a tragedy,” said TDH Commissioner John Dreyzehner, MD, MPH.

Travis Tritt Statement On Passing Of Close Friend, Eagles Member Glenn Frey

 

Travis TrittNashville, TN – Travis Tritt has released a statement regarding the passing of his longtime friend, founding member and guitarist of the Eagles, Glenn Frey.

Tritt commented, “Glenn Frey and the music he created alone and with The Eagles have been such an inspiration to me. We first met at the video shoot for my version of ‘Take It Easy’ in 1993. He always went out of his way to acknowledge and encourage me ever since. I’m a better person, better musician and a better songwriter having met him. I still can’t believe he is gone!”

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – With the expectation of the winter storm moving through the Fort Campbell and surrounding areas, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital will be open for emergency and inpatient services only Wednesday, January 20th. BACH will operate with mission essential inclement weather personnel only.

Emergency and inpatient services, including hospital admissions to the inpatient ward, Intensive Care Unit, Labor, Delivery and Recovery and Mother/Baby unit services will be open. Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 20th, 2016, Fort Campbell is open for limited operations only. Only mission essential personnel are to report for duty at their normal time.

All Fort Campbell Schools will be closed. Morning Pre-Kindergarten and Part Day Pre-School classes are also cancelled. The Eagle Child Development Center and Bastogne School Age Services will remain open to support mission essential personnel.
